“JESUS IS” — an encounter weekend, May 17–18, 2024

Our one passionate commitment is to do whatever Jesus tells us to do. This means that if Jesus asks Mission Central to do more than Mission Fest, we will do what He says. During the Fall of 2023, Jesus invited us to rent out the Chilliwack Heritage Park for a weekend event... So we did!

We’re anticipating a weekend where emotional, relational, and physical pains will be met by the most warm, gracious, and powerful person: Jesus Christ. It will be a Friday evening and all-day Saturday event.

Join us on May 17th & 18th to seek and encounter the presence of Jesus, who is all, who is real, and who brings evidence of His touch.

When Jesus is present, all that He IS arrives with Him. His beauty, power, and touch are there with Him. As we take a weekend to love Him as all, see Him as all, and seek Him because He is worthy, we will come to experience just how much of His fullness arrives.

Our “Jesus Is” weekend is simply about giving space amid worship and teaching for people to know and experience the presence of someone where, when you receive Him, you have everything. We genuinely anticipate a weekend where emotional, relational, and physical pains will be met by the most warm, gracious, and powerful person.

What will the weekend look like?

There will be four sessions during this conference, starting Friday night and continuing all day Saturday; each one will be focused on the presence of Jesus. We’ll prioritize giving space, in worship and teaching, for people to know and experience Him. When you have Jesus, you have everything!

The session topics will center on what people anticipated and discovered when they encountered Jesus, as told in the Gospels.

JESUS IS: present, holy, unconditional, healer

Healing Prayer

On Saturday, we have made space between each of the main sessions: space for you to meet Jesus through prayer, and through being in His presence. We will have friends present who will be honoured to pray with you—and believe with you—for Jesus to touch and heal any emotional, mental, and physical pains.

Whenever Jesus came into a village or city, the Gospel Luke says that, by Jesus being present, the people knew He could heal and teach their hearts about God.

And He came down with them and stood on a level place with a crowd of His disciples and a great multitude of people from all Judea and Jerusalem, and from the seacoast of Tyre and Sidon, who came to hear Him and be healed of their diseases, as well as those who were tormented with unclean spirits. And they were healed.

Luke 6:17–18

If you are sick in your body or know someone who needs a touch from Jesus, we invite you to come. We believe that as He comes, His healing presence will be with us as we pursue Him.

Registration

Registration is free, with the opportunity to include a donation. Click the button below to register online now! Tickets will also be available at the door during the weekend, but registering in advance will help us streamline everything.

Please Pray

Between now and May 17, we’d love your prayers—for the event, and especially for everyone who will be there, that each person will receive what they most need from the One who longs to provide.

We hope to see you there!
