2014 Missions Fest Special Project
Missions Fest Vancouver is partnering with Action International Ministries to collect newborn necessities for new mothers at the Shalom Christian Birthing Home near Manila, in the Philippines.
The following is a suggested list of items to collect in newborn size and place in a colourful reusable cloth drawstring bag. Gently used clothing in excellent condition may be included. Place this gift on the designated tables at the front of Exhibition Hall A at Missions Fest 2014, January 24 -26. Remember that this is for a hot climate, so no velour or fl eece type clothing. Lightweight cotton is best.
Essential items for a go-home outfit:
- Soft, lightweight (no fleece/velour) long or short sleeved top (no onesies)
- Soft, lightweight (no fleece/velour) long pants
- Hat (1 or 2)
- Booties (Socks)
- Receiving blanket (1 or 2)
- $5 cash donation for shipping costs. Do not include this in the bundle. Take this to the Action International Booth N7.
Optional:
- Cloth re-usable diapers – two per bundle. If a church, school, ladies group or home group went in together, they could “share” a whole package of diapers for several “Bundles”.
