Lead teams of volunteer architects, engineers, planners, surveyors, building techs to developing nations to design facilities (ie schools, orphanages) and infrastructure (ie water, sanitation, power). 10-14 day projects. 3 trip cycles/year. Responsibilities: Organize teams, administrate reports and design/construction drawings, mentor interns, office admin. |
All staff raise their own financial support for salary. Project travel and expenses are covered by funds raised by eMi Canada. |
Project leading staff to have background in construction related design, engineering, project/construction management or technical support (surveying, drafting). Minimum one eMi project volunteer trip experience for candidate and spouse (if applicable) before staff consideration. Desire to serve the eMi office context, the overseas client ministry and members of the project team. |
eMi has offices in the USA (Colorado Springs), Canada (Calgary), UK (London), India (Mussoorie), Costa Rica (San Jose) and Uganda (Kampala). Full time staff and 6-12 month terms are available in all locations. |
